Daimler India Commercial Vehicles production crosses 100,000 units mark

New Delhi: Daimler India Commercial Vehicles (DICV) on Thursday announced that the company has crossed 1,00,000 units production milestone from its manufacturing plant at Oragadam near Chennai.
DICV has achieved this milestone in 6 years since the inauguration of the plant in 2012, as per the company release.

We are very proud to have reached another important milestone on our sustainable growth path."
At present, Oragadam plant is the only state-of-the-art manufacturing plant worldwide which produces engines, transmissions, trucks and buses and also caters to four brands – BharatBenz, FUSO, Mercedes-Benz and Freightliner, DCIV said.
The Indian subsidiary of German Daimler AG had crossed 50,000 units mark from the same plant in August 2016 and currently serving 40 export markets across the globe, the release added.
