Summit Background

Recently the State Council and the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development of China have respectively issued the "Action Plan for Promoting Large-Scale Equipment Updates and Consumer Goods Replacement" as well as the "Implementation Plan for Promoting the Update of Building and Municipal Infrastructure Equipment", which have accelerated the process of eliminating and updating aging construction machinery to meet China Stage IV Standards and replacing them with NEV products.

The latest agricultural machinery subsidy policy issued by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs also clearly stated that the subsidies in the next 3 years will focus on supporting the development of intelligent and high-end agricultural machinery and eliminating low-end and backward ones.

Due to zero emissions and advantages of saving money in terms of TCO, the market space for electrified OHVs is large, and it can usher in a development boom after technological breakthroughs. By 2035, the penetration rate of electrified construction machinery is expected to be around 30%, and the cumulative number of newly added electrified construction machinery will reach 2.7 million units.

Meanwhile technologies like unmanned driving, Big Data, IoT, AI and ML are constantly impacting and changing OHV industry, which has created huge opportunities and challenges for OEMs and key parts manufacturers. It is predicted that by 2030, the potential market for autonomous driving in just smart mines will be 386.99 billion RMB.
